The University of Waterloo has launched the primary driverless autonomous 5G shuttle in Canada that can transport college students and employees round campus.

The shuttle will function remotely over Rogers’ 5G community due to a partnership settlement with the Toronto-based nationwide service. It has a 2.7km journey across the college’s most important campus.

Rogers notes that the driverless shuttle has distant takeover capabilities. The expertise contains an built-in onboard sensor system offering automobile intelligence and management together with a set of entrance, rear and aspect cameras offering a 360-degree view.
