Rogers is investing $1.4 million to deliver high-speed web to the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Rogers will broaden its fibre community throughout 30 sq. kilometres of underserved areas to deliver connectivity to greater than 275 houses and companies locally.

“We are honoured to work together with the leaders and community members of The Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation to deliver reliable broadband services to the entire community,” stated Phil Hartling, the EVP of service growth at Rogers, in an announcement.

The service says it should work with native contractors to assist construct the community and can discover future alternatives to assist contribute to the group’s financial development.

“This partnership will help to transform the lives of everyone in our community including local businesses and we are happy to work with the Rogers team to help support our members’ needs and drive economic development for all our residents,” stated Stacey Laforme, the elected Chief of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Construction for the undertaking is anticipated to start out in July 2021 with providers to be obtainable in early 2022.
