Apple’s iPads proceed to guide worldwide pill market in Q1 2021

Apple continued to dominate the pill market in Q1 2021, in accordance with new information from analytics agency International Data Corporation (IDC).

Tablet shipments elevated by 55.2 % year-over-year with 39.9 million models shipped. IDC notes that such a development hasn’t been seen since Q3 2013 when the pill market grew by 56.9 %.

“While vaccine rollouts and businesses returning to offices may slow down the work-from-home trend, we are still far from returning to ‘normal’ working conditions and hence the demand for tablets, especially detachables, is expected to continue for a while,” stated Anuroopa Nataraj, a analysis analyst at IDC in a press release.

Apple had a 31.7 % market share in Q1 2021 with 12.7 million models shipped. The tech big noticed a 64.3 % enhance in shipments.

Samsung got here in second place with 20 % of the market share and eight million models shipped. The firm noticed a 60.8 % enhance in shipments.

Lenovo rounded out the highest three with 9.4 % of the market share and three.8 million models shipped. Interestingly, the corporate noticed 138.1 % year-over-year development.

Amazon got here in second place with 3.5 million models shipped and eight.7 % of the market share. Amazon noticed probably the most important development with shipments rising 143 % year-over-year development.
